notes.

1. I'm writing my LSAT tomorrow, and I have to get up at 5.30 to drive to Kamloops, so I'm... adjusting the lay-out of my shitty little blog? Really great use of time. Anyways, I changed the title font up there and now it won't change back, so we're stuck ponyboy for a couple of days. Why is blogger so terrible? Also can we discuss how they changed the whole 'new post' window and made it way more difficult to do anything? You used to be able caption pictures. I do not understand, blogger.

2. "U know u koo when u drinkin bombay and its not even the weekend." Just a little piece of advice I picked up from youtube comments the other day. Yours for the taking, if you want to be koo or whatever.

3. OMG I am stress eating every type of sugary food in my house. Have you been to my house? Sugary food: apples and peaches. So, lots of those. And some grapes. The other day I went to pick grapes and there was a drowned squirrel in the rain barrel so I'm off-ish grapes. A bit. Funny story, right?

4. I promise soon I'll write something with purpose. You know. Beginning, middle, and end or whatever. NARRATIVE STRUCTURE. For now, les familias de la tincan heart, you'll just have to read my meanderings. Goodnight and good luck with your own procrastination attempts.

WHERE AM I GOING TO GO TO LAW SCHOOL

If I don't completely fail my LSAT on Saturday, I get to move somewhere next fall! For school where I wear great outfits and read books in coffee shops with brick walls and sometimes also learn things. Best life ever, right? So maybe a continuation of this fall's time in Victoria:

Or maybe Halifax?!

My mom would not be impressed if I chose Halifax though. Far far far. So maybe the University of Toronto?

Full disclosure: I don't have the grades or the money to go to U of T. (Their entrance average is INSANE!!!) Also, Drake is not representative of law school, really. But kind of cute, no? Like a little bulldog! And from Toronto! So probably my future bf.

Anyways. Any help, y'all?

Funny things.

A while ago my dad snuck into my room while I was out and left a lifesize cardboard cutout of Will and Kate in there. Coming home drunk to Will and Kate was totally awesome. We hung out and took pictures together for a while. It is, let me tell you, extremely challenging to take an arm's length photo on your phone with cardboard cutouts but did this did not discourage me from trying. For some reason they were really uncooperative.

This is actually from the next morning and I am not wearing a STITCH OF MAKE-UP (my favourite expression) but I think it captures the spirit of the thing.

Also, I freaking love Will and Kate. Unrepentantly. I had a big crush on Will all when I was growing up (I have a book on him that I had a family friend buy for me with many many photos) and now I just want them to adopt me so I can wear pretty wrap dresses and/or chinos and sweatervests at all times and hug orphans and kittens and stuff. It's going to be toterly awesome.

things that get me.

Okay, I am a sucker for a great advertising campaign. Levi's just set Charles Bukowski's fucking amazing lovely wrencher of a poem "The Laughing Heart" to images of beautiful stylish young people doing very free things. Uh, winner!

falling!

Fall is my favourite season and it is beginning! I think everyone in the world is writing blog posts about the change of seasons so I am going to be a big fat sheep and do the same thing, because I love lists almost as much as I love things like grammar and cute dogs.

1. Scarves! I am a scarf freak. The other day my most gruff uncle asked me why I am always wearing a scarf. "Um... it's instinctive?" I just love them, okay! Don't be so judgey, world. I like big square cotton ones in interesting colours and patterns, and also I like big knit ones for winter. Scarves=my life.

2. Leaves. I lub lub when there are piles of dry leaves, and you get to kick them around and then pretend the wind did it. Also raking is kind of fun? Secretly?

3. BOOTS WE GET TO WEAR BOOTS AGAIN.

4. There is nothing like a sunny fall day! In the summer you get a bit spoiled with the sun, but in fall you can really enjoy it. Fall saturdays rock my world.

5. Lastly but not leastly, fall feels like a fresh start. I know spring is supposed to be the season of renewal or whatevskis, but I think september and october are really the months of figuring out what's coming. As for me, I'm moving to Victoria in a few weeks. What the fuck, right? My life is the best.

freaks and geeks.

Y'all seen Freaks and Geeks? It's sort of the ultimate 'before-they-were-extremely-famous' for the whole judd apatow group. It has Jason Segal (aka love of my life, as discussed previously), James Franco, Seth Rogen, and about ten thousand other people you've heard of before. My favourite character, though? NEIL. Neil is a dork, and not even a borderline one. Gawky, with halting speech and the thickest glasses you've ever seen, Neil will never ever be one of the cool crowd. I love him.

lanvin my heart.

Lanvin is one of my favourite labels, at least from the distance at which I consider these things.  So elegant, you know?  Plus, designer Alber Elbaz is the most adorable little thing in the world.  Anyways, they put out this entirely charming little video for F/W 2011/2012 and I think every one of you needs to see it.

I think they'd fit right in at flashbacks, amiright?

undercuts: a thing that I want.

Okay so I am tempted to be super-trendy-dendy and shave a two inch strip along the side of my head.  It's like getting a tattoo, only less permanent!  (I am frightened by the permanence of tattoos.  If I wasn't, I would maybe get a fish tattoo, or a leaf.  Ew and not a koi fish.)  Usually when you go to the internet to look this kind of thing up there is so much inspiration!  Sadly, only wannabe punky fifteen year olds on tumblr have undercuts.

Oh, except for this major babe:

I would look like this, only more cheerful.  And probably less scantily-clad.  Oh, and probably not giving the camera the finger.  Um, and red-headed.

The thing is, I want to go to law school in a year.  At that point, this sort of hair style will no longer be acceptable!  So now's my chance, you know?
